Summary:
|
Token services have emerged as a critical category with massive traffic, long-context dependencies, and strict end-to-end quality requirements.
In token services, the network participates in token request routing, distributed KV cache transmission and management, real-time output token streaming and token inference tasks cross-domain scheduling. Specifically, networks must deliver ultra-low latency for millisecond-level TTFT, ensure high-throughput stability for bursty inference traffic, and provide differentiated QoS for Prefill, Decode, and KV Cache synchronization, all while enabling cross-domain distributed scheduling and network-aware intelligent routing to balance performance, cost, and reliability.
To tackle the challenges posed by token services, the capabilities of NICE [ITU-T Y.2302 ] shall be further enhanced.
This draft Recommendation aims to specify the enhanced requirements and capabilities of NICE to support token transmission.
