FMSC is the capability that provides services and applications to end users regardless of the fixed, mobile or satellite access technologies being used. The control plane in IMT-2020 networks and beyond can be enhanced to facilitate emerging services, including artificial intelligence (AI) services, computing services, etc. This Recommendation specifies the overview, requirements, framework, network function enhancements and procedures of control plane enhancement for FMSC, in the context of IMT-2020 networks and beyond.
