Summary:
|
The expanding network scale and growing service complexity impose unprecedented requirements on automated management and orchestration in software-defined networking (SDN). The current SDN functional architecture faces limitations in unified semantic representation of cross-layer and cross-domain data, intelligent and self-adaptive policy generation, and reuse of expert experience and historical cases, which constrain the intelligence and efficiency of SDN management and orchestration.
The new work item provides the functional architecture enhancement to SDN for knowledge-driven management and orchestration, aiming to improve the intelligence and self-adaptability of SDN in response to changes in service demands and network status, as well as the interpretability of management and orchestration policy generation and adjustment.
