The QKDN users need to register their application to a visited Quantum key distribution network (QKDN) to specify the associated KMs that offer keys in interworking QKDNs. The Recommendation contains the several use cases, the functional architecture model and functional elements for a cryptographic application registration. Then, the Recommendation specifies the reference points and the operational procedures.
