Summary:
|
This Recommendation provides a standardized methodology for deriving model coefficients used in object-recognition-ratio estimation models defined in Recommendation ITU-T P.1199.
ITU-T P.1199 provides a parametric object-recognition-ratio-estimation model to check whether an observer in a monitoring center can recognize an object. It defines sets of model coefficients for specific a priori conditions. When P.1199 is applied to other conditions not covered by the existing coefficient sets, new coefficients need to be derived. Since the object-recognition scenarios and operational conditions vary significantly depending on the application and operator, the coefficients according to each scenarios have to be prepared. To derive the coefficients, this Recommendation provides a procedure that enables users to derive customized coefficients for their intended scenarios. By following this procedure, the users of P.1199 can derive appropriate model coefficients on the basis of the experimental results.
