Summary:
|
Data asset management [ITU-T F.743.21] in big data infrastructure has become an important practice across diverse industries. By transforming raw data into governed data assets through metadata, master data, standards, and models, organizations can improve consistency, interoperability, and value creation in large-scale data asset environments. However, the management of data assets in big data infrastructure also faces significant security challenges. Security risks may compromise the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data assets, disrupt operations, and weaken trust and compliance.
This draft Recommendation identifies security risks and threats to data asset management in big data infrastructure and specifies corresponding security requirements. It focuses on enhancing security capabilities on the processes of data asset management to support secure, trustworthy, and compliant management of data assets across management objects, operations, and support.
