Summary: This Recommendation specifies the technical guidelines to simulate IMT-2020 networks and systems for security evaluation. The simulation may be implemented at different levels, including protocol simulation, function-and-protocol simulation, and supply chain simulation, so that operators can select appropriate simulation levels for different evaluation scenarios. By simulating IMT-2020 network and system that are recoverable, quantifiable, and reproducible, this Recommendation enables security evaluation to be conducted under conditions closely approximating the real network's operational state. This achieves effective verification of protect mechanisms, quantitative assessment of security capabilities, and dynamic testing of complex threat scenarios, thereby enhancing the authenticity, systematic nature, and comparability of the security evaluation process. The simulation platform possesses capabilities such as resource scheduling, fault recovery, and data traceability, allowing system-level security evaluation and protection verification to be carried out under controlled and repeatable conditions. This provides high-fidelity, sustainable technical support for the security evaluation of IMT-2020 networks and systems.
