This draft Recommendation specifies the reference architecture of energy optimization system for IoT-based micro-grids. With the integration of distributed energy resources, energy storage systems and flexible loads, micro-grids require more adaptive and coordinated energy management. This draft Recommendation describes the functional components and coordination mechanism of the system, and supports the collection, analysis and coordinated optimization of information related to local energy resources, energy storage, computing loads and IoT devices. It aims to improve the efficient utilization of local energy resources, support adaptive management of computing loads, and enhance the reliable, efficient and sustainable operation of micro-grids.
