This draft Recommendation specifies the requirements and general framework for coordination between computing systems and energy systems toward synergy in smart sustainable cities and communities (SSC&C). It covers the basic concepts, principal entities in the computing domain and the energy domain. It also covers typical scenarios related to such coordination mechanisms and provides general guidance for the coordinated planning, deployment and operation for computing and energy resources based on the real-time IoT sensing data and relevant information. This draft Recommendation aims to support improved energy efficiency, enhanced operational coordination and sustainable development of SSC&C through IoT technologies.
