Implicit Human-Object-Environment (HOE) interaction refers to a proactive paradigm in human-centric IoT systems where the environment autonomously adapts to users' physiological and affective states without requiring explicit commands. This approach addresses the cognitive burden and interaction fatigue caused by conventional manual control, as well as the reactive limitations of traditional IoT systems, shifting the focus toward the optimization of human well-being.
However, implicit interaction does not delegate unrestricted autonomy to the IoT system. System-initiated actions operate within bounded permissions and are strictly governed by predefined baseline rules, user-consented constraints, and human override mechanisms to ensure safety and ultimate human oversight.
This draft Recommendation will develop the requirements and framework for implicit HOE interaction in human-centric IoT service systems. It will specify a continuous closed-loop mechanism that integrates multi-modal sensing, human state recognition, and environmental adaptation.
