Summary:
|
Event-based vision systems employ an asynchronous sensing paradigm that enables high temporal resolution, low latency, and efficient data processing. Test methodologies and metrics traditionally used for frame-based vision are not directly applicable to event-based vision, due to fundamental differences in data representation and temporal behavior. As a result, key performance characteristics are either inadequately captured or entirely omitted by conventional frame-oriented test approaches. Based on Recommendation ITU-T F.747.15, this draft Recommendation specifies metrics and test methods for assessing the performance of event-based vision systems, enabling objective benchmarking and consistent performance assessment.
