Summary:
|
This new draft Recommendation specifies procedures for Calling Line Identification (CLI) authentication in SIP/VoIP networks using IETF STIR (Secure Telephone Identity Revisited) mechanisms, integrated into the ITU-T Q-series trust framework defined in Recommendations ITU-T Q.3057, Q.3062, Q.3063, and Q.TSCA.
It specifies how PASSporT objects, SIP Identity headers, and STIR certificate chains are used within a Trusted Signalling Certification Authority (TSCA) trust model to support cross-jurisdiction validation of telephone number identity in SIP-based signalling environments.
