Summary:
|
Fixed, mobile and satellite convergence (FMSC) networks are expected to support multi-orbit networking involving satellite systems deployed at different orbital altitudes, such as GEO, MEO and LEO. This draft Technical Report describes the signalling architecture of the land-based network supporting multi-orbit networking in FMSC for IMT-2020 networks and beyond. It covers requirements considerations, signalling architecture considerations, interface considerations and signalling procedures for the land-based core network and associated interworking functions, in order to support coordinated operation and service continuity across different orbit-based access networks.
