Summary:
|
Quantum network testbeds serve as the foundational infrastructure for the realization of a future quantum internet, analogous to how the ARPANET functioned as the precursor to today’s classical internet. These testbeds provide controlled environments for validating new quantum technologies, network architectures, and interoperability among quantum and classical systems.
This Technical Report is to study and analyze existing quantum network testbeds. It surveys the basic components, functions, and structures of quantum network testbeds and identifies interfaces requiring standardization. It provides an abstract analysis of existing and potential future models, highlighting commonalities and differences among the quantum network testbeds.
