This draft Recommendation proposes a metaverse-based framework for IoT-enabled power equipment hoisting (PEH), aiming to address the challenges of lifting operations in the electric power sector. The framework fully leverages the capabilities of the metaverse in constructing virtual business environments and supporting task-driven modeling and decision-making. It integrates key technologies such as IoT sensing, modeling, and 3D simulation to enable early-stage planning, and safe execution. The draft Recommendation defines typical hoisting objects and operational scenarios, specifies functional requirements for all phases of the hoisting process, and provides a general framework to facilitate simulation and intelligent decision-making.
