Summary:

ITU-T plans to start the research and standardization work on IMT-2030 networks in Study Period 2025-2028. SG13 has started research on IMT-2030 with technical report “IMT-2030 networks – Considerations on terms and definitions” [ITU-T TR.IMT2030-terms]. It is necessary to start research on signalling and protocol of IMT-2030 in SG11.
Therefore, it is suggested that challenge and roadmap for signalling and protocol of IMT-2030 networks should be taken into further research and standardization, which can be used as a guideline for the further development of signalling and protocol of IMT-2030 networks related documents, and helps in the development of standardization series of signalling and protocol of IMT-2030 networks.
