Summary:
|
It is proposed to update the information in existing Q Supplement 62 to reflect, but not limited to, the following:
1. 3GPP: Multimedia Priority Service (MPS) defined in 3GPP was extended to include priority data transfer (DTS) in addition to priority IMS-based voice/video many new radio access network (RAN) features and capabilities for MPS. In addition, 3GPP is in the process of completing Rel-19 features on MPS priority for messaging services (e.g., SMS/MMS and IMS messaging).
2. IEEE: The IEEE specified a new capability Emergency Preparedness Communication Service (EPCS) in the IEEE 802.11be amendment to IEEE 802.11. The EPCS feature can be used to provide priority to the MPS communication of authorized users in Wi-Fi networks.
3. IETF: The IETF defined a PASSporT extension in RFC 8443 that can be used to sign and verify the Session Initiation Protocol Resource Priority Header (SIP RPH). This feature was adopted in 3GPP for IMS.
