Summary: Industrial scenarios, such as ports, mines, and construction sites, heavily rely on industrial vehicles to support their core operations. With advancements in IoT technology, these operations are increasingly becoming intelligent and automated, improving safety, and enhancing efficiency. However, the dynamic nature of these environments, including frequent changes in road layouts, poses unique challenges distinct from open-road transportation. This draft Recommendation defines the functional architecture of IoT based industrial vehicles monitoring platform, providing guidelines for users to design and implement platforms that support safe, efficient, and scalable operations across diverse industrial environments.
