Summary:
|
Recommendation ITU-T Y.4120 provides requirements of Internet of things (IoT) applications for
smart retail stores. The smart retail store is one of the important application fields of the IoT. More and more smart retail stores rely on various IoT devices and are closely integrated with electronic shelf labels, product management system and other digital infrastructures, resulting in complex structures and diverse applications in smart retail store.
However, as the deployment of IoT in the retail environments expands, smart retail stores are increasingly exposed to a range of security challenges. Sufficient consideration of these emerging security threats and corresponding security requirements are needed. This Supplement identifies security threats and requirements of IoT applications for smart retail stores. The purpose is to improve the security protection capabilities of the smart retail store during operation and maintenance.
