Summary:
|
Apart from Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), for a more productive and sustainable production smart livestock it is highly required to integrate various domain-specific information; examples of such information include precision livestock farming, management information systems, stockbreeding, and transportation.
To integrate various domain-specific information, a well-defined data model is required. Such a data model can enable new smart livestock farming services, including data analytics and data acquisition by facilitating automation, interoperability and composability for IoT applications.
The conceptual data model for Smart Livestock Farming (SLF) is designed to provide a structured, comprehensive, and interoperable framework that integrates data from IoT devices including automated systems, manual inputs and objects. This model serves as a foundation for automation, analytics, decision-making, and scalability across SLF services.
For this purpose, this draft Recommendation defines the data entities required for smart livestock services, their relationships, and the conceptual data model for SLF service.
