Summary:
|
The effects of negative climate change have impacted biodiversity in various ways. In the recent years, there has been increasing magnitude of loss in several sectors such as road infrastructure, energy supply chains, agriculture (crops and livestock), housing, fisheries, health, water, etc. The aim of this contribution is to Explore how ICTs can be used to adapt to the effects of climate change and ensure sustainable biodiversity. This document Identifies best practices related to climate change adaptation for the different areas of biodiversity. The aim is to explore how to use ICTs in decision making through platforms such as crowd sourcing and customization of information. The contribution examines how to use ICTs for monitoring the displacement and settlement of populations and infrastructure in different areas such as coastal zones, marine ecosystems, urban and rural areas; The recommendation offers globally relevant models for disaster-resilient telecom networks, real-time environmental monitoring, and data-driven decision-making to guide future international best practices.
