Summary:

With the increasing sophistication of cyberattacks, security for vehicles with automatic driving and with high vehicle connectivity must be implemented accordingly and, in particular, technologies for detecting unauthorized intrusion into vehicles will be significantly indispensable in the automobile industry. Recommendation ITU-T X.1378 provides a methodology for evaluating in-vehicle intrusion detection systems (IVIDSs) in view of its performance, effectiveness, etc. Target IVIDSs in this Recommendation are mainly identified in Recommendation [ITU-T X.1375].
