Summary:

The zero trust model has emerged as a promising security paradigm that assumes no implicit trust and requires continuous verification of all entities. While zero trust concepts are being adopted in IT environments, their application in telecommunication networks presents unique challenges due to requirements such as ultra-low latency, high availability, massive device connectivity, and multi-domain interoperability.
This Recommendation provides guidelines for the development and deployment of the zero trust model and its security capabilities in telecommunication environments. The guidelines are intended to support interoperability, enhance trust among stakeholders, reduce implementation complexity, and strengthen the overall security posture of telecommunication networks.
