Summary: This Technical Report is intended to provide suggested guidelines and reporting standards for OTT applications for partnering with telecommunications services regulators internationally. The primary focus of the report is to explore the possible harmonization of reporting standards for OTT applications internationally and provide various guidelines on the indicators, definitions and data template formats that may be effective for reporting on dominant or modal OTT applications both domestically and internationally. The Technical Report also provides case studies as to current regulatory frameworks for data reporting for OTTs, with the objective of gaining insights into a number of jurisdictions’ policy perspectives on this topic.
Comment: Purpose and scope: To explore the possibility of harmonized Reporting Standards for OTT Applications internationally and attain consensus on the format, definitions and data templates that may be effective for reporting on modal OTT services internationally and domestically.
