The whole Recommendation establishes a framework of technical requirements and evaluation methods for retrieval augmented generation based on large scale pre-trained model. This Recommendation will offer users a better understanding of retrieval augmented generation technology and help them set up retrieval augmented generation applications more quickly and suitably. Meanwhile, this Recommendation will provide guidelines for users to examine the level of retrieval augmented generation applications' capabilities and promote the effectiveness of applications.
