Summary: This Recommendation specifies a control protocol for feature-based video services over hybrid peer-to-peer communications. In feature-based video services, features are shared instead of fully encoded video data. The shared features are used to reconstruct video at remote endpoints connected through a hybrid overlay network. By using the control protocol, service sessions can be controlled through operations such as creation, modification, removal, query, joining and leave. This Recommendation defines protocol messages, including parameters, related resource elements and their behaviours, for controlling feature-based video services.
