Summary: This Recommendation specifies the signalling requirements for fine-grained network slicing orchestration and management in bearer networks. It defines a functional architecture, an information model, and signalling procedures to support deterministic resource allocation, strict isolation, and lifecycle management of fine-grained network slices. The Fine-Grained Slice Identifier (FGSI) is introduced as a key data-plane construct to enable slice-aware forwarding across IPv6 and IP/MPLS infrastructures. Interfaces among orchestration, control, and forwarding layers are standardized to ensure interoperability and dynamic service provisioning in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
