Summary:
|
It is common in certain regions for terrestrial broadcasting to be watched through the Master Antenna Television (MATV) system. With both ATSC 1.0 and ATSC 3.0 broadcasting in widespread use, it is becoming necessary to adapt MATV systems to provide a transition path towards the eventual shutoff of ATSC 1.0 services. This paper presents a conceptual solution to this transition need.
