Summary: Driven by the global efforts to achieve carbon neutrality goals, the cities are accelerating their transformation towards intelligence, greenery, and low-carbon development. Electric power is the main form of energy consumption in cities, achieving electric power data’s comprehensive perception and intelligent monitoring will become an important foundation to support smart cities sustainable development. The goal of this draft Recommendation differs from the existing relevant standards of SDOs involved in IoT perception and IoT application in the electric power field. This draft Recommendation aims to address the challenges faced by new energy rapid development. It can fully leverage IoT technical characteristics and propose a framework and requirements for electric power data perception services. It also effectively fills the standard gap, provides technical means and basis for electric power supply departments to comprehensively grasp distributed energy data, and further promotes smart cities sustainable development.
