Summary:
Since the opto-coupler entry in the Directives Volume VIII, opto-couple capabilities have greatly evolved. In addition, integrated circuit isolators are now available using magnetic and capacitive coupling. This Recommendation reviews the capabilities of the different integrated circuit isolator types and gives guidance on their use.
