Summary:

At present, based on the high bandwidth, low latency, high reliability IMT-2020 networks, the remote driving can solve the road conditions that the automated driving system has not solved or has not encountered before. Remote driving service involves communication networks, road infrastructure, remote cockpit, perception devices carried by motor vehicles and service, and application processing platform. Remote driving will greatly reduce the cost of manned driving, and improve the driving efficiency of human drivers.
This document provides the requirements for remote driving service based on vehicle gateway platform.
