Summary:
|
A contact tracing application is a tool to identify people whom they have had contact with the infected person. It helps prevent the spread of infectious diseases by proactively finding people at higher risk than others due to potential exposure, notifying them if possible, and quarantining them if necessary. This work item will enable the development of interoperable systems to automatically trace and inform potentially infected users in addition to manual notification methods, whilst reducing risks against data processed in contact tracing application. This draft Recommendation describes various use cases for contact tracing applications. In addition, it provides data processing models including their data processing flow and identify their threats and risks in terms of security and PII protection perspective.
