Summary:
|
As cable broadcasting network is rapidly changed to Fiber based HFC network. It is necessary to provide the bidirectional smart media service without changing previous transmission specification and devices including Headend, STB and so on. There are increasing needs for keeping the existed transmission specification and devices. One of these approach method is RoIP (RF signal over IP) technology, it supports to transmit the output of existed CM to Headend using Fiber based IP network.
The purpose of this work item is focused on transmit the RF based upstream signal to Headend transmission system on the Fiber-based IP network.
