ITU-T A.5 justification information for referenced document IETF RFC 4510 (2006) in draft H.350
1. Clear description of the referenced document:
Name: IETF RFC 4510 (2006)
Title: Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP): Technical Specification Road Map
2. Status of approval:
Standards-track was approved by IESG (Internet Engineering Steering Group)
3. Justification for the specific reference:
This reference regards to revised H.350 and H.350.1-6 which were previously approved in 2003-2004 and referred to RFC 3377 for LDAP version 3 technical specifications. Since RFC 3377 was obsoleted entirely by RFC 4510, the revision of H.350 and H.350.1-6 requires reference to RFC 4510. It is noted that the LDAP technical specifications are now reorganized into this RFC 4510 and the following RFCs: LDAP: The Protocol [RFC4511] LDAP: Directory Information Models [RFC4512] LDAP: Authentication Methods and Security Mechanisms [RFC4513] LDAP: String Representation of Distinguished Names [RFC4514] LDAP: String Representation of Search Filters [RFC4515] LDAP: Uniform Resource Locator [RFC4516] LDAP: Syntaxes and Matching Rules [RFC4517] LDAP: Internationalized String Preparation [RFC4518] LDAP: Schema for User Applications [RFC4519]
4. Current information, if any, about IPR issues:
Information on IPR issues regarding RFCs is available at: https://datatracker.ietf.org/ipr/search/. Specifically: https://datatracker.ietf.org/ipr/search/?option=rfc_search&rfc_search=4510
5. Other useful information describing the "Quality" of the document:
The status of the referred RFC is "Proposed Standard".
6. The degree of stability or maturity of the document:
The status of the referred RFC, is "Proposed Standard". Obsoletes RFC 2251, 2252, 2253, 2254, 2255, 2256, 2829, 2830, 3377, 3771.
7. Relationship with other existing or emerging documents:
References within the referenced RFC are listed under item (8).
