ITU-T X.1280建议书提供了一个使用移动设备进行带外服务器认证的框架，解决了验证方假冒的漏洞以及现有认证器用户终端依赖性的限制。它允许用户在任何用户终端上的用户认证过程中，在明确和独立地验证服务提供商后，提供用户认证信息。
