ITU-T G.8271.1/Y.1366.1建议书规定了不得超过的相位和时间差错的最大网络限值，它规定了在相位和时间同步接口上在这些分组网络的边界上须提供的相位和时间查错的最小设备容限。此外还概述了对网元同步功能的最低要求。本建议书针对的是整个网络的时间和相位分布情况，使用的是基于分组的方法，并向网络协议层提供全面的计时支持。修正2提供以下更新：− 在第7.5节中增加高通滤波限值；− 对附录IX的说明。
