ITU-T G.984.5（2014）建议书的修正1收集了三种方法，可在公共光分配网络（ODN）上实现多代无源光纤网络（PON）共存以及已部署光纤和分路器的复用，从而提升运营商网络的容量。修正1包括一个新的附录IV，用于OLT内集成了WDM的多PON模块（MPM）。附录III提供了一种在多干扰源情况下计算CEx隔离和指向性的方法。附录I已经修订，利用附录III的方法为采用GPON、XG ( S ) - PON、ngpon 2和OTDR的4端口CEx导出了新的隔离值和指向值。附录V提供了一种使用2:N分路器实现PON共存的方法。
