ITU-T G.650.1（2010年）建议书的修正1旨在提供用于短光纤电缆（跳线）中的相干多径干扰（MPI）的测量程序。单模光纤在弯曲损耗方面的改进不仅会影响基本模式，也可能会影响更高阶模式。这可能会改变截止波长的机制。在此情况下，光纤的单模操作性可通过评估MPI特性进行调查。附录四介绍了三种测试方法：– ECL/PM（外腔激光器/功率计）方法，– LED/OSA（发光二极管/光频谱分析仪）方法，– FS（光纤拉伸）方法。
