La Recommandation UIT-T G.8112/Y.1371 spécifie les interfaces du réseau de couche MPLS-TP (commutation par étiquette multiprotocole – profil de transport). Ces interfaces utilisent divers réseaux de couche serveur, par exemple PDH (hiérarchie numérique plésiochrone), SDH (hiérarchie numérique synchrone), OTH (hiérarchie de transport optique) et ETH (réseau de couche MAC (commande d'accès au support) Ethernet).
