La enmienda 3 a la Recomendación UIT-T G.992.5 (2005) añade las siguientes funcionalidades: 1) atenuación de conversión longitudinal; 2) toma de contacto y conformación de PSD en sentido ascendente; 3) tamaño de entrelazados de 24 000 bytes optativo; 4) nuevo apéndice VII sobre el modo automático.
