ROSE (Remote Operation Service Element) was initially defined in Rec. ITU-T X.219 and X.229
(equivalent to the ISO/IEC 9072 International Standard) with ASN.1 MACRO definitions which comply to the
(deprecated) ASN.1:1988 standard. ROSE has been totally redefined with ASN.1 information object classes
(according to the ASN.1:2002 standard) in Rec. ITU-T X.880,
X.881, X.882
(equivalent to ISO/IEC 13712 standard). Protocols using the X.229 ASN.1 specification can be updated
to use the X.880 ASN.1 specification but the conversion needs significate changes.
The ITU-T ASN.1 module database only gathers modules which complain with the ASN.1:2002 standard,
so the ASN.1 modules defined in ITU-T Rec.
