In 1948, soon after becoming a UN agency, ITU transferred its headquarters from Bern to Geneva. ITU Councillors relive heritage at Villa Bartholoni where ITU was housed until 1962.

ITU160 Open Day

Official launch of the Eduki National Competition, a competition under the high patronage of the Director-General of UN Geneva, and organized in collaboration with the Swiss Confederation, the Swiss Commission for UNESCO, the Canton of Geneva, and the Fondation pour Genève.

Geneva Inter-Agency Table Tennis Games

For the first time, in its 160th year, ITU hosted the Geneva Inter-Agency Table Tennis Games. The 53rd edition celebrated connectivity, community, diversity and shared purpose.

ITU160 closing

The Diplomatic Club of Geneva hosted a special event at the Giga Connectivity Centre, featuring a live connection with a school in Barbados to highlight Giga’s work to connect every school to the Internet.
