Partner2Connect (P2C) Digital Development Roundtable

7 – 9 June 2022, Kigali, Rwanda

The first-ever ITU Partner2Connect (P2C) Digital Development Roundtable, held on 7-9 June 2022 in Kigali, was an integral part of World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC). Over two and a half days, ITU engaged 1,000+ participants gathering physically at the Kigali Convention Center and more than 350 connecting remotely into an unprecedented global and action-oriented discussion for universal meaningful connectivity. Our roundtable featured 10 high level panels, five spotlight sessions, one Special Message from the Prime Minister of Luxemburg, and plenty of networking opportunities. It concluded with the announcement of over 360 pledges representing an estimated combined financial value of USD 18.55 billion. The Roundtable gave an opportunity for member states, private sector, academia, civil society, international organizations, and other entities to announce their pledges related to the P2C Digital Coalition and advance together digital transformation for all. The drive for universal and meaningful connectivity represented in these pledges is expected to benefit billions of people around the world, especially in developing countries.

Our pledging platform remains open for the submission of new pledges and we continue to receive pledges every day. Pledge makers and the international community will be able to visualize those commitments instantly and easily, and their intended scale and impact, here via our Interactive Dashboard. ITU will help track, monitor and regularly report on the fulfilment of pledges made, to ensure accountability and progress.
