Connecting the Caribbean: From Regional Priorities to Partnerships and Investment.
The Caribbean stands at a pivotal moment. Digital transformation is opening doors across the region, stronger connectivity, greater resilience, more innovation, and deeper inclusion. But the path forward is not without its hurdles. Infrastructure gaps, climate vulnerability, digital inequality, cybersecurity threats, and the urgent need for investment all demand coordinated action.
Against this backdrop, CTU ICT Week 2026, under the theme “Advancing Resilience, Inclusion, Cybersecurity and Innovation in Caribbean Digital Development,” provides a timely platform to advance regional cooperation and position the Caribbean strongly in the evolving global digital landscape.
At the heart of the conversation is the IDB Caribbean Regional Digital Infrastructure Plan, being developed across fourteen Caribbean countries in coordination with the Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU). The initiative aims to develop an investment-ready regional roadmap, including prefeasibility studies for priority cross-border connectivity corridors, an assessment of shared regional data centres and AI hubs, and recommendations for greater regulatory harmonization.
The Partner2Connect (P2C) Matchmaking Accelerator will bring together governments, the private sector, investors, development partners, international organizations, civil society, and other stakeholders to turn these regional priorities into opportunities for collaboration and action. The session will facilitate practical conversations around investment, partnerships, and commitments that can advance universal meaningful connectivity and sustainable digital transformation across the Caribbean.

The P2C Matchmaking Accelerator in the Caribbean will take place in-person only. As places are limited, participation will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Note: Registration for CTU ICT Week is required to access the venue. Your P2C Accelerator registration alone will not grant you entry. Additionally, An ITU User Account is required to submit your request, and all registrations are subject to approval by the P2C Secretariat. Please register by 17 September to secure your spot.
