Empowering girls for the digital future

Like every April, our community around the world celebrated International Girls in ICT Day, aiming to encourage more girls and women to pursue careers in the digital sphere.

The International Amateur Radio Union – a longstanding ITU member and partner – marked its centenary, noting the critical role of ham radio operators in emergency response and community preparedness.

We joined United Nations and industry partners in celebrating 2025 as the Year of Quantum Science and Technology and showed the way forward with a new initiative to unlock Quantum for Good.
