Dear EGTI Members,
We are delighted to welcome you to the 14th Expert Group on Telecommunication/ICT Indicators (EGTI) meeting from 18 to 20 September 2023 in Geneva, Switzerland. The EGTI meeting will be held back-to-back with the 11th meeting of the Expert Group on ICT Household Indicators (EGH), which will also take place on 18, 19 and 21 September 2023. A joint EGTI/EGH meeting on the ICT Development Index (IDI) will be held on 18 to 19 September 2023. Remote participation and interpretation will be provided. Please find attached the invitation letters for the meeting.
The objective of the 14th EGTI meeting is to examine the contributions received from members of the EGTI online discussion forum over the current working period, with a view to finalizing the items under discussion.
The topics to be discussed during the EGTI meeting will include a report of the subgroup on the development of indicators measuring over-the-top (OTT) services (jointly with EGH); a report of the subgroup on measuring fixed broadband penetration and the outcomes of a pilot data collection of recently introduced indicators on mobile money.
EGTI meetings are open to all ITU members and experts in the field of ICT statistics and data collection.
