Dear All,
For background information for the EGTI discussion, please find attached a set of slides on 5G standardization just received from our expert colleagues working in the ITU Radiocommunication Bureau.
Best regards, Daniel

Dear all,
In advance of the upcoming EGTI meeting, where I will briefly present the main points of this summary of the work of the subgroup on 5G indicators, I encourage any interested members to review and post any feedback in this forum. If time allows, we will try to incorporate any feedback provided into the summary document which will inform subsequent discussions at the meeting.
Please provide feedback by the end of this week, Friday September 4th, to allow us time to update the summary document.
Thank you very much, Jason Reed |

Dear All,
The subgroup on 5G indicators is delighted to share the outcome of its work with the wider EGTI public to gather comments and feedback ahead of the September EGTI Meeting.
You are all kindly invited to consult the attached summary report which provides an overview of, among others: - a definition of 5G; - the indicators considered on the coverage, quality of service, focused and local deployment patterns, other 5G-specific service characteristics, spectrum and fixed wireless access; - the rationale behind and outcome of prioritising indicators - the detailed description of the the proposed indicator, which is "Percentage of the population covered by a 5G mobile network"
Please share your comments and feedback in this forum.
Many thanks to Jason Reed and all the Members of the subgroup for drafting the document and contributing to the discussions.
Best regards, Daniel
