Abstract :

This document contains a request by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to contribute to defraying the expenses of the Union in the class of 1 unit as from 1 January 2018. Based on the amount of the contributory unit for 2018, the annual financial implications of the requested change would amount to CHF 318 000.
However, it should be noted that this request is exceptional due to its retroactive nature, because the Islamic Republic of Pakistan's parliament did not approve the increase in the contributory unit (from 1 to 2 units), which is mandatory for the increase to be official.
