Summary:
|
XSTR.aam provides specification of cryptographic accountability mechanisms for AI agents through verifiable manifest declarations.
The Technical Reportdefines accountability manifest format specifications binding agent identity to operator-declared intent and operational scope, intent verification procedures comparing observed agent behavior against the declared intent, and accountability chain integrity mechanisms for multi-agent delegation scenarios. The work item complements the multi-party trust framework being developed under X.Max-trust and the landscape established in Technical Report TR.ltf-AAI, and contributes to the Q16/17 work programme on artificial intelligence security as adopted at the SG17 4th Plenary (Geneva, 9 April 2026). Regulatory mapping anchors: EU AI Act Article 12 (record-keeping obligations for high-risk AI systems); ISO/IEC 42001 Annex A.3 (Internal organization); OECD AI Principle 1.5 (Accountability) per OECD/LEGAL/0449 (2024 revision, incorporating lifecycle traceability and systematic risk management); ISO/IEC 38507:2022 (Information technology — Governance of IT — Governance implications of the use of artificial intelligence by organizations).
