Summary: Distributed photovoltaic (PV) system plays a vital role to address global climate change, but its volatility and uncertainty bring operational risks to power system. This recommendation specifies the requirements and framework of the digital twin based distributed photovoltaic energy management. It aims to provide a standardized digital twin solution to conduct prediction, optimization, risk assessment of high penetration distributed PV grid integration that enables on-site generation, local grid connection, and low transmission losses. The overview, requirements and framework of digital twin based distributed photovoltaic energy management are specified in this draft Recommendation.
